HISTORY OF THE PEUGEOT ION

The Peugeot iOn is the first car of the brand French car Peugeot 100% electric.

At the end of the year 2010 came out this vehicle to the market to encourage the displacement of ecological cities. The Peugeot iOn has two ‘twins’ in regards to the car that are the Citroën C-Zero and the Mitsubishi i-I miev.

These three vehicles are produced in Japan by Mitsubishi in the facilities that have in Mizushima.

DESIGN OF THE PEUGEOT ION

The Peugeot iOn has a length of 3.39 meters, a width of 1.47 meters and a height of 1.60 metres. Size ‘mini’ makes it perfect for any type of mobilization for the city, especially at the hour of parking.

This electric vehicle features an exterior design with five doors very innovative and futuristic thanks to their curved lines. Regarding the interior is quite simple and has space for four passengers.

The Peugeot iOn is only available with a level of equipment because the idea of the car is very simple, it is a vehicle intended for travel without having to spend money on fuel. Includes six airbags, stability control, power-on, auto lights, fog lights, trip computer, sound system with reader for CD and alloy wheels of 15 inches. As optional you can add air conditioning, electric windows, regulation, electric mirrors and heated seats.

The Peugeot iOn does not include spare wheel because its usual place in the trunk, is occupied by the engine and the battery.

THE ENGINE OF THE PEUGEOT ION

The Peugeot iOn is a vehicle with engine power 67 HP. Has a battery with autonomy of up to 130 kilometres. The charging time of such battery is six hours, with an electrical outlet traditional, and with a three-phase can get a quick charge.
