HISTORY AND DESIGN OF THE RENAULT CLIO (2012 – 2016)

The Renault Clio fourth generation was officially presented at the Paris motor show in September 2012.

This vehicle went on the market with bodywork five-door hatchback and a family of five doors. The hatchback version has a few measures 4.06 metres long, 1.73 metres tall, and 1.44 meters wide. The family version presents some measures of 4,26 m long, 1.73 metres tall, and 1.44 meters wide.

The Renault Clio IV has its manufacturing in the French town Flins and in the Turkish city of Bursa, with a production of between 350,000 and 400,000 units per year.

This new Clio adds new technologies with respect to the previous models: an access hands-free with hill start assist, a rear camera, the dual-clutch and a browser touch with connectivity to more than 50 applications.

The fourth-generation Renault Clio has a design very similar to the Renault Megane, presenting an aesthetic more compact that conveys sportiness to the couple that strength.

THE ENGINE OF THE RENAULT CLIO (2012 – 2016)

The Renault Clio (2012 – 2016) came out to the market with five petrol engines and three diesel engines:

- Fuel:

• 0.9 TCe 90 HP and 75 HP with a five-speed manual transmission.

• 1.2 16V 75 CV with a five-speed manual transmission.

• 1.2 TCe (GT) 120 HP with six-speed automatic transmission.

• 1.6 TCe (RS) of 200 HP with six-speed automatic transmission.

• 1.6 TCe (RS Throphy) of 220 HP with six-speed automatic transmission.

- Diesel:

• 1.5 dCi 75 CV with a five-speed manual transmission.

• 1.5 dCi 90 HP with a five-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic.

• 1.5 dCi 110 HP with six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic.
