HISTORY OF THE RENAULT LAGUNA (1998 – 2001)

The Renault Laguna is a vehicle segment D manufactured by the French firm Renault. This car came to market as the successor to the Renault 21 and has three generations.

The first generation went on sale in February 1994 with the body liftback and half of the year, to leave his family version.

This generation featured a restyling in the spring of 1998, so that it had two phases.

The phase II in regard to security, it equates with ABS, 5 point seat belts 3-point anchors and 4 airbags. It also had air conditioning, fog lamps, radiocasete or CD radio and electric windows front.

The finishes available for this phase were RT, RXE and INITIALE.

The range of engines was available in the Renault Laguna (1998 – 2001) phase II were seven petrol and three diesel:

• 3.0 V6 194 BHP gearbox 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

- Diesel:

• 1.9 dTi 98 BHP gearbox 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

• 1.9 dCi 107 HP with a manual gearbox 5-speed.

• 2.2 dT 115 HP with a manual gearbox 5-speed.
