HISTORY OF THE RENAULT GRAND SPACE 4 (2002 – 2015)

The Renault Grand Space 4 was a vehicle minivan segment D manufactured by the French car firm Renault in the year 2002 to the year 2015.

The fourth generation was the first model designed and built entirely by the brand Renault.

DESIGN OF THE RENAULT GRAND SPACE 4 (2002 – 2015)

The Renault Grand Space 4 was the first model of the Espace created, in its entirety, in steel.

This vehicle, like its predecessor, the Grand Space III, had, with varying short and long.

Among its features, the Renault Grand Space 4 added the latest advances in security by incorporating independent seats sliding on the rails and brake automatic parking. Also included moonroof panoramic and hands-free card.

This vehicle had a size of 4.86 meters long, 1.86 meters of width and 1,74 meters high.

THE ENGINE OF RENAULT GRAND SPACE 4 (2002 – 2015)

The Renault Grand Space 4 included several engines available to choose depending on their phases.

Phase I (2003 – 2006) included three petrol engines and three diesel:

- Fuel:

• 2.0 16v 136 CV with a manual gearbox 6-speed.

• 2.0 T 163 HP and 170 HP with gearbox 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

• 3.5 241 HP with the automatic gearbox 5-speed.

- Diesel:

• 1.9 dCi 120 HP with a manual gearbox 6-speed.

• 2.2 dCi 150 HP with gearbox 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

• 3.0 dCi 177 HP with the automatic gearbox 5-speed.

Phase II (2006 – 2010) included three petrol engines and three diesel:

- Fuel:

• 2.0 16v 136 CV with a manual gearbox 6-speed.

• 2.0 T 170 BHP) gearbox 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

• 3.5 241 HP with the automatic gearbox 5-speed.

- Diesel:

• 2.0 dCi 130 HP, 150 HP and 173 HP with a manual gearbox 6-speed.

• 2.2 dCi 140 HP with the automatic gearbox 5-speed.

• 3.0 dCi 180 BHP) automatic gearbox 6-speed.

Phase III (2010 – 2015) had a petrol engine and a diesel:

- Fuel:

• 2.0 T 170 BHP) gearbox 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.

- Diesel:

• 2.0 dCi 130 HP, 150 HP and 175 HP with a manual gearbox 6-speed, and the 150 HP and 175 HP also with the automatic gearbox 5-speed.
